Crosswind Summer Events!

Here are a few upcoming Summer Events that we want to make sure everyone is aware of:

1) Portside Car Wash - Sunday, June 17 - Celebrate Father's Day with a clean car while supporting our teens upcoming Missions Trip to Kentucky. Simply drop off your car before service in the designated area and we will wash your car for you while the service is happening. There is no set cost, Any donation amount is greatly appreciated!  Available both services on Sunday.

2) Spaghetti Dinner / Family Movie Night  - Saturday, June 23 - Next Saturday our middle school ministry will be having a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser immediately following the 4:30pm service.  The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for kids 10 & under, or $25 for a family of 5+.  Please come out to support our middle school ministry & their summer events!!

After dinner, we will have several yard games & sports equipment (basketballs, volleyballs) out so families can spend some time playing games together before ending the night with a family movie outside in the main parking lot!  Bring a camping chair or blanket & enjoy hanging with our entire Crosswind Family on the hill or on the parking lot during the movie.

It's going to be a huge night of fun, so don't miss it!!

3) Vacation Bible School  - August 2-3 - VBS is less than 2 months away, and we need an army of volunteers!!  We're looking for crew leaders, worship team members, decoration help, craft leaders, Bible story tellers, snack prep, & more!  Sign up by using the Connection Card in your bulletins or by visiting Guest Services this weekend!

VBS will take place here at Crosswind Church from 6:30-9:30pm on August 2-3 (Thursday & Friday), and is available for kids ages 4 to 4th grade.

4) Back to School Camping Trip - August 22-24 - Our middle & high school students are going camping at Cunningham Falls State Park during the last week of summer vacation.  There are only 32 spaces remaining, so make sure you sign up ASAP!  Cost for the trip is $40 and includes food, site reservations, park entry, & camping equipment.  Go to http://backtoschool12.eventbrite.com/ to register your child & sign up to donate some of our supplies.

5) Ministry Move-Up Day - August 26 - With the exception of the graduating seniors (class of 2012), all elementary, middle, & high school students will be considered as their current grade level until school starts at the end of August.  Sunday, August 26 will be our "official" move-up day for all students that will be transitioning into the next ministry program (especially 4th & 8th graders).

Hello Crosswind Family!

School is out and summer is in full swing - whether we're ready for it or not!  In case you haven't noticed, there's always a lot of stuff going on at Crosswind - that's why I'm excited to announce the beginning of our Family Ministry Blog.  This will be a simple way to stay connected & informed about Family Ministry events, as well as get news & articles about trends affecting the family.  Sometimes we will send out church-wide emails focusing on specific posts & updates, and sometimes we will just get the word out through facebook or twitter.  Either way, check back in from time to time & see what's happening at Crosswind Church!
